Ministry is measured not only by numbers but by stories—real stories of transformation, healing, and hope. At Building the Bridge Georgia, we’ve seen firsthand how churches across the state are being transformed when they commit to bridging the gap and embracing inclusive ministry.
Take Pastor Darnell from Albany, for example. After attending a BTB training on cultural engagement, his church launched a neighborhood outreach program focused on mentoring Black youth. Within six months, they’d baptized four young men, two of whom are now attending Bible studies regularly. “The training helped us connect in a way that wasn’t just spiritual—but personal,” Pastor Darnell said.
Or Sister Patrice in Athens, who used our small group curriculum to start a prayer circle focused on racial healing. What began with five women praying once a week has now grown into a monthly fellowship involving multiple churches, where conversations and friendships are building bridges across racial lines.
Then there’s Greater Hope Church in Macon. With the guidance of a BTB Connect Point, they partnered with a historically Black community center to host a joint food drive and worship night. The event not only met physical needs but led to several community members visiting the church the following Sunday—and two eventually giving their lives to Christ.
These stories are not isolated events—they are part of a movement. A movement of people willing to step out, learn more, and love better. A movement where churches aren’t waiting for people to come—they’re going out to meet them, led by the Spirit and supported by BTB Georgia.
Transformation happens when churches move from intention to action. Through BTB Georgia, we’re seeing that action become impact. And this is just the beginning.
